Dr. Lee is a Professeor in the department of Integrative Bioscience and
Biotechnology, Sejong University in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Lee majored in Pharmacy at Seoul
National University. She moved to US for her Ph.D in 1992 at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of
Biochemistry. She studied transcription mechanism of estrogen receptor under the supervision from Dr. Jack Gorski
who is one of the leading pioneers in developing the mechanism for cellular mechanism of estrogen receptor. As a
postdoctoral training, she worked at Seoul National University and Harvard Medical School Dana-Farber Cancer
Institute. Since 2000, Dr. Lee has been working at the Sejong University. She served as a Dean of the College of
Bioscience from 2019-2022. She has been working on the mechanism of breast cancer and endocrine disrupting
chemicals of its toxicity and exposures. She has been actively involved and worked on developing alternative chemicals
of endocrine disrupting chemicals and assessing its toxicity. She has a deep interest in delineating mechanism of
ginseng especially with the emphasis on menopause and its associated cellular mechanism. She worked on identifying
the cellular targets and mode of action of ginsenosides targeting middle-aged women health disturbances. She has
been serving at the Korean Society of Ginseng over from 2012 and now is a vice president
